My First Disc Golf Ace!??

A few months ago I hit a 150-200′ ace in a tournament.. but I don’t think it counts because it was an Ace Race tournament.

This evening I hit a 200′ ace from an actual tee-pad to a permanent basket.. but I don’t think it counts because I was in solo-practice mode.

Fundraiser Tee Sign Winners

On May 31st the FHDGC hosted a tournament to raise funds for new tee signs. Division winners, Jason Barela (Pro), Bill McDonough (AM), Trina Lettig (Women) & Sara Lange (Women) were awarded with their names on one of the new tee signs.

Grass Seeding.. Random Doubles Cancelled

On Monday October annual grass seeding begins at the Fountain Hills Disc Golf Course. The sprinklers run for hours a day.. so it gets muddy. I know it sucks.. but please avoid FH course to ensure optimal seeding results. Seeding ends on October 27th, but since Halloween lands on a Friday we will resume Friday Random Doubles on Nov 7th.

DONE: Mach X Rec Baskets

5 new Mach X Baskets have been installed. This brings the Fountain Hills Disc Golf Course to 24 Mach X’s and 1 Chainstar. 19 holes are now on the course with optional recreation targets on a few of the holes. Check out the updated course map.

Disc Golf Tee Sign Install

The FUNdraiser seems like just yesterday. Thanks to members of the club and support from the Town of Fountain Hills the Fountain Hills Disc Golf Club has installed the first new tee sign. The new sign was installed at tee pad 2. After tackling the “last big rock” we walked away with some insights and lessons learned: difficulty, required tools & supplies, bracing techniques, and estimated install time. This Tuesday the board will schedule the remaining signs and get to work.
